Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of 3D 2048 ("the Game"). The Game is a free browser-based puzzle game operated by an individual developer. By playing, you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, please stop using the Game.
1. Use of the Game
The Game is free to play and requires no account, purchase, or installation. You may play it as often as you like, on any device with a modern browser, for personal enjoyment. You play at your own risk: the Game is provided as-is, with no guarantee that it will be available, bug-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.
No age restriction is imposed by the Game itself. The Game is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — see the Privacy Policy for what is and is not stored.
2. Prohibited actions
The following are not permitted:
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the source of the Game beyond what your browser normally exposes
- Scraping, automated bulk requests, or any activity that places an unreasonable load on the Game or its hosting
- Unauthorized access to the Game's infrastructure, leaderboard backend, or any account or service used to operate it
- Manipulating the global leaderboard with bots, scripted input, modified clients, or falsified scores
- Submitting a player name that is obscene, hateful, impersonates another person, or contains personal information
- Re-hosting or embedding the Game commercially without permission (see section 4)
3. The global leaderboard
The Game includes a global leaderboard. When a run ends — either by reaching the target tile or by filling the cube — the result is submitted automatically; there is currently no way to opt out of that submission, and if you have not chosen a player name the entry is filed under the default guest label. An entry records the name shown, the score, the highest tile reached, the date, the board size and difficulty, and the time the server received it. It carries no account, e-mail address, or other personal identifier.
Because entries are anonymous and unauthenticated, the leaderboard is moderated rather than guaranteed. Entries that appear manipulated, or names that breach section 2, may be removed without notice. If you believe a specific entry should be removed, get in touch with the mode, name, and score.
4. Intellectual property
The source code, design, visual style, logo, and written content of the Game and this site are the work of the operator and remain the operator's property. The underlying 2048 game concept was created by Gabriele Cirulli and is not claimed here; 3D 2048 is an independent three-dimensional reimplementation and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the original.
You may link to the Game freely. Non-commercial embedding — for example in a personal blog post or a classroom page — is fine. For commercial embedding, portal distribution, or licensing, please ask first.
5. Advertising and third-party services
The Game may display advertising and uses third-party services for hosting, the leaderboard, and anonymous analytics. What those services receive, and the cookie consent that governs them, are described in the Privacy Policy. Third-party services are subject to their own terms, over which the operator has no control.
6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Game — including lost scores or progress, data cleared by your browser, service interruption, or the content of third-party advertising.
Game data is stored in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing, or switching devices will lose your local scores and settings. Keeping backups of your progress is not possible by design, and the operator cannot recover it.
7. Changes and discontinuation
The Game is maintained by one developer and may change or be discontinued at any time, without notice. These terms may also change; the current version is always the one posted on this page, and it takes effect when posted. Substantive changes will be reflected in the "Updated" date above.
8. Governing law
The Game is operated from Japan. These terms are governed by Japanese law, and any dispute arising from them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan.
9. Contact
Questions about these terms, licensing enquiries, and leaderboard removal requests all go through the same place: the contact page.
